Devlog 4: Max Attack
As you might have already heard if you follow me elsewhere, I've changed the name of this game to Max Attack. While I liked the name Ultrawide, it was a 'cool name for a racing game' I came up with long before the monitor technology really was a thing and I started to worry that the name now implied a technical limitation that didn't actually exist. To clear up any possible confusion, I started thinking about new names and landed on Max Attack because I think it really captures the driving spirit of this game. If you're unfamiliar with the term 'maximum attack' it's better shown than described, so give it a search on youtube sometime!
Speaking of youtube, I released my first devlog today, focused on sound design! I haven't had a chance to shoot and edit a long form video in some time, so this was really enjoyable to make despite my discomfort with doing voiceover. Plus it's great to finally have some first pass sounds in the game now!
I haven't quite figured out a strategy yet for migrating this small community of folks (yall) over to something with the new name, or if I even need to do that at all, so for now I'm just going to keep posting updates to the original project. If you have any suggestions, let me know!
